Why Do You Need a Sauna Hat?

Sauna hats might look unusual at first, but they actually have very practical purposes.

In a sauna, your head always gets hotter than the rest of the body, because hot air rises.

Without any protection, your head can feel uncomfortable, or dizzy forcing you to leave the sauna early. A sauna hat helps make the sauna experience more comfortable, relaxing, and longer.

Protect the Head and Stay Longer

The head feels heat the most & direct heat can be very intense.

A sauna hat reduces this heat and helping the body handle the temperature dramatically

By keeping your heads temperature more stable, you can enjoy the sauna longer without feeling dizzy or too hot.

Protect Your Hair and Scalp

High temperatures in saunas can dry out your hair and scalp.

A sauna hat reduces heat exposure to these areas, keeping your hair softer and scalp healthier.

If you use a Sauna regularly you need a sauna hat to keep your beautiful hair.

Hot Air Rises!

Did you know that in a traditional sauna, the temperature near the head can be about 10–20°C higher than near the feet?

Heat naturally rises, so the head becomes the hottest part of the body making you feel dizzy and lightheaded. You should always drink plenty of water to stay hydrated and wear a Sauna Hat to reduce your heads exposure to the heat.

Do like the Japanese do!

In my home country Japan, Sauna culture is very popular just like nordic countries like Finland. In these countries most people know about Sauna hats and wear them.

And of course, sauna hats can also be stylish, adding a little fun and personality to the experience.

My name is Tatsuya and I’m exploring saunas in Australia.
