European Design meets Aussie Farming Heritage
McIntyre was founded by husband and wife duo Ned & Raquel.
After meeting in Raquel's home country The Netherlands - the pair moved to Australia and eventually back to the family sheep farm.
Here Raquel fell in love with quaility Merino and the pair finally understood how they were going to continue on the McIntyre farming Heritage - Not on the farm, but with their designs.
McIntyre - The Australian Merino label was born in 2017.
5 Generations of Farming Heritage
This is how Ned grew up. In the shearing shed surrounded by wool.
The McIntyre family have been growing Merino wool on their Victorian farm for over 150 years.
Growing fine Merino is not something you can do in a year or two, it takes generations of careful decision making, breeding and land managment. Both Ned's parents were also wool classers so he grew up visiting lots of different wool growers, seeing all different grades of Raw Merino wool.
At McIntyre we pride ourselves on our faming Heritage and our modern approach to sourcing the finest RWS certified wool.

Our design ethos is simple. We believe life is better if you wear wool everyday.
The natural temperature regulation and elasticity means you keep comfortable day and night all year in well designed merino garments.
Unlike most brands we start with the Raw fibre and design from there. We ask ourselves 'whats the best product we can make with this lightweight Merino yarn' - and then the garment takes shape from there.
All our knitwear and T-shirts are made with 100% Australian Meirno wool and our socks & underwear and made from an 84% Merino blend.
A founding principle
The Farm is our constant source of inspiration.
When we are lost we go back and spend time there. We name products after the family members in the McIntyre family tree and we draw constant inspiration from the familys farming heritage.
We are also striving to implement land improvement practices on the farm and hope to share this with our community more as it continues to evolve.
